"Lovely traditional pub with loads of history. Staff were great during check in and parking was right outside on the street. Food was lovely and piping hot, portions were good. The rooms were small but they have some of the best quality sheets I've slept on, very soft and comfortable!"

"lovely place great staff warm comfy clean room great bar, however all let down by a cleaner representing the hotel in the morning on a sunday. banging on door 2 times and opened it while changing the 3rd time to load of verbal albeit after check out but on sunday xmas do time of year. Then she continued to be rude we have both stayed in many hotels and NEVER been spoken to like that before. totally unprofessional and rude."
"Nice digs, individual on suite rooms. Would definitely stay again if i was in the area. Staff are friendly and helpful, many amenities and other pubs and restaurants on the high street and seconds walk away. Plus, Withnail & I film location round the back in the carpark."
