Reviews of Putnoe Medical Practice and Walk-in Centre
"My first visit was very good, the doctor was kind and very thoughtful. But my second visit wasn’t as pleasant, the staff wasn’t as pleasant and the doctor that saw me wasn’t as kind and didn’t have a pleasant attitude. I felt that some of the problems I mentioned were just brushed aside and the way she would tell me to do something to help cure me she would say in a very condescending way as if I was an idiot and I didn’t understand what was happening. I also just felt that as I left that I didn’t feel any better and Dr. Stephanie just ended up making me feel worse about myself."
"I would like to re-review this place but I am gonna be honest with you. Last time I reviewed was a year ago but this year as new year I thought to update. So I wanna mention these few changes I've seen so far: 1. No Free Call One of the changes I've noticed that to call to book an appointment is not free as it used to be. You'd have to wait on the queue before it gets to your turn. My credit almost finished that day only to be told all were filled and impossible to book so I wasted £13 to £2.82 credit and stayed on the call for an hour and 3 mins. So I topped up and attempted the 2nd time following day I was on 23rd in the queue around between 8am to 9am. So I hung up the call and waited at 10am, called again then luckily got 3rd in queue to instant call response. Even this one was taken already and all filled up. So the best way to be on the 3rd in the queue call you'd have to hang up and hope for your luck to be the 3rd or 2nd in the queue which I've done. 2. Responsive To Email Another changes I've noticed that some receptionists or nurses are very responsive to emails and are good which am happy because it was not accepted before. I feel that's the best way to communicate to someone in case a patient has a problem on speech or the phone is faulty. So it's a good thing, am happy. At least this one is fair to me. 3. Appointment Priority Another changes I've noticed that if you've a serious condition the receptionists can prioritise you to the nearest date availability to book for a doctor to see you which is hard now to see a doctor. It takes complaint to make it happen. Sometimes effort with polite complaints can be a good way to consider your case serious. 4. Receptionists Some receptionists are good but I can't say for all based in the past experience. It depends who you meet that's why I seldom give 5 stars cos I know sometime I'll eventually meet a bad one but I ain't hoping for that. I hope and pray the good ones I meet to be around most are in there stay, so that they can be useful to help others more. So far these are the changes I've seen. I suggest the call to be a free call due waiting on queue and prioritise patients to see doctors who have serious cases than others, that is all. The 4 star remains as it is a year ago because of how it ended well. Thanks and take care!"
"Both my husband & I have used this practice on separate occasions as we hadn't been able to get an appointment at our own medical practice. Our experience each time was exemplary, friendly receptionists, the doctors spent time to listen & explained their conclusions, we felt we hadn't been processed. Overall very good experience."
"Referred to Walk in Centre by 111, arrived to be told at capacity cannot deal with any more patients. Asked when are you less busy, around 3pm, went back at 3pm, only 8 ppl waiting to see Dr. I was seen within 30 minutes Dr was lovely did not feel rushed during consultation. Advised by Dr to come back if you still feel unwell after taking medication. Excellent receptionist, friendly, excellent service. Thank you."
"My husband and I attended the Putnoe walk-in center yesterday after a week of severe coughing and no sleep. We were politely welcomed by an excellent receptionist and waited only an hour before we were called in to see a lady nurse practioner who was excellent and caring. She immediately prescribed the necessary tablets and today we are feeling a little better. Excellent appropriate service . Thank you very much."
