Reviews of Rectory Farm Campsite and fishery
"Found this site earlier in the year and couldn't wait to return ! Stayed with another couple and Richard managed to find us pitch together again. He and his brother work hard and nothing seems too much problem. We took advantage of viewing The Shepherds hut which is delightful .We'll be back !!"
"Absolutely fantastic. Plenty of good clean toilets and showers, electric hookup on fairly even grass pitch and a great few days of fishing to top it off. Highly recommended. I will certainly be back."
"A gem of a campsite. Peaceful, clean, lovely loos and shower blocks. Great kitchen with washing up sinks, fridges, microwaves, washing machine , tumble dryer and ironing board. Daily visit from friendly ducks and chickens . Dog friendlly. Two lovely fishing lakes. Many fellow campers who we spoke to come back time after time and we can certainly see why. Already thinking about when to book again."
"It's easy to while away the hours on this relaxed, community-like site with great fishing, extensive private footpaths and plenty of wildlife - and pond life - to watch! Richard and Chris take pride in keeping a peaceful, pleasant site. Always busy but happy to stop and chat, I know that they'll take the time to make sure I'm happy with the best available pitch. Many guests come from all over the country to this sanctuary, returning year after year, and there's almost a private - but certainly not exclusive - feel. Spending a week in 'Kestrel's Rest' shepherd's hut was a pure delight! Sumptuously beautiful and pristine, with every detail having been thought of from the well-appointed kitchen with all the essentials you'd expect, to the truly *exceptional* bed with ample storage underneath - and TV! Great shower. Truly a user-friendly space, yet luxuriously stylish; perfect for a special, celebratory break. Having also camped here, I can say it's a great site for animal-lovers. Though I don't own a dog myself I've never had any issues with other guests' dogs, which always seem to be well-behaved and on leads. Facilities are perfectly adequate and the free showers are powerful. A true sanctuary!"
"Absolutely amazing site. Friendly owners, gave me a tour on arrival and my choice of a couple of pitches. I picked a lovely pitch, tucked away, shady and level. Quiet and peaceful, would hardly know anyone else was there. All the other campers and their dogs were very friendly, made me feel very welcome. Extremely dog friendly with a beautiful dog walking area. Toilets and showers were immaculately clean every time I used them, WiFi was good and there were all the amenities you could want. Beautiful walks without having to drive anywhere. I will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay."
