"Unprofessional Attitude: We booked a taxi from Halfway Cabs at 4.30pm for 6.30pm on Friday 9th December. I was fully expecting the driver to be late due to the freezing cold weather and it being a Friday before Christmas. To be fair, the taxi driver phoned and said he was running late. However, when he pulled up outside the house, I was just about to open the taxi door and he drove off!! I phoned him on his mobile while looking at his tail-lights and he claimed that his son was sick. This is not the issue, apart from the fact that he could have had the professional courtesy to tell us to our face rather than driving away. My issue is that he said he would get another taxi to collect us, but I was not contacted again, neither by the base nor another taxi. I had booked the taxi for my job’s Christmas party, but it was so late by the time this happened, I had to miss it. So even though my night was ruined, I didn’t even get an explanation nor an apology. I will not be using these again and definitely not recommending to anyone."
