"I am actually astounded by the sloppiness and compeltely unorganised nature of the legal team at Muldowney Counihan. Pure incompetence to the highest degree. After looking for a property for 3 years, myself and my partner finally went sale agreed and went through the full process over the past 4 to 5 months. We were due to close the property almost a month ago but Muldowney Counihan withheld a document related to the covenant on the house (whether this was intentional or a result of general incompetence I do not know). After multiple calls from my solicitor to their side they finally admitted to having it all along. We then decided to close a week later only to discover that they didn't get a notarized power of attorney from their client who was living abroad at the time. Their incompetence ultimately forced us into drawing down on a mortgage rate which is 1% higher - resulting in us pulling out of the property and now considering emigration. One of the worst things about it was that our solictor constantly had to call and email Muldowney Counihan before getting any reply! Myself and my partner will now have to pay all of our legal fees along with a penalty for drawing down the mortgage with our bank as a result. I would strongly advise anyone considering this firm for legal services to look elsewhere! By looking at the extent of legal services they offer Im sure they're a jack of all trades but very much a master at none. Buying a property in this country is a difficult and expensive enough process as it is without having to deal with inept solicitors like Muldowney Counihan!"
