Reviews
"Friendly, positive and efficient."
"Always very positive experience - most helpful & excellent quality care when advice is needed. All staff are very efficient. Fortunate to have this pharmacy so close to us."
"Would tell everyone to avoid. With I could no stars, staff are not pleasant to deal with. From reading other reviews its clear there is a theme of condescending behaviour that I have definitely experienced Wish my local pharmacy was as understanding as others i've been to. Customers don't come to a pharmacy to be looked down upon and made feel uncomfortable no matter what medicine they are asking for. Do better."
"Best to avoid. On the rude side of a place to visit. They change their mind at random times on if a prescription is required for items. Slow service. Will easily go somewhere else."
"I am appalled and disgusted at the manner in which my Mother was treated in this Pharmacy today. My Mother was told that they like people to wear masks if they can. My Mother explained that she is exempt. My Mother was then told to wear a badge in future. Why should a person who is exempt from wearing a mask, wear a badge with their private medical information displayed for all to see? There was another customer present to witness this horrible and humiliating treatment that my Mother was subjected to. #Equal Status Discrimination The answer below is in reply to the reply posted by Total Health Pharmacy, Kilmacud dated Tuesday, 12th January 2020. I appreciate and understand your obligations to protect customers and staff. I would like to point you in the direction of the Statutory Instruments regarding the wearing of face coverings in a business premises. You are not required to seek evidence of an inability to wear a facemask, for example a letter from a doctor. My Mother, upon being asked about a facemask informed the staff member that she was exempt and that should have been enough. There is no need for your staff member to seek evidence of an inability to wear a facemask. A staff member seeking evidence, the evidence being a doctor’s letter, would in fact contain information that would be an invasion of a customers right to privacy, a GDPR issue. I also note that you state that there is no requirement for any customer to wear a badge which displays their medical condition. Demanding that a customer wears a badge in itself, reveals personal medical information that the customer has a disability, whether or not the medical condition is stated on the badge. Do you think it is right or appropriate for your staff member to demand that a customer, my mother in this instance, wears a badge where it can be deduced by all, that the wearer has a disability? Also bearing in mind, that nowhere in the Statutory Instruments does it state that a person who is exempt from wearing a facemask should wear a badge. You state that you have obligations to protect your customers and staff, your staff member displayed total disregard for my mother’s dignity and the level of disrespect to her was totally unacceptable. The staff member’s treatment of my mother was an attack on her human right to be treated with dignity and an affront to all people with a disability. I find the demand that my mother wear a badge to be very disturbing as does my mother. I would also like to point out that on two other occasions in your pharmacy, that my mother was asked to wait outside while waiting to be served. My mother has made a number of visits to various shops/business over the past eight months and at no time has she been treated in such an appalling manner. The staff in each of these shops/businesses have been extremely mindful of protecting their customers and in keeping with Government guidelines but they have done so in a respectful and courteous manner to my mother. I find the last line of your response to my review to be patronizing and an insult to my intelligence, however I am not surprised. Furthermore, surely you can find a way of keeping your customers safe without humiliating the customers who are exempt from wearing a mask. Remember exempt means exempt and these exemptions are written into the Statutory Instruments and no where does it say that a person must wear a badge or produce evidence of their exemption in a place of business."
