Reviews of Oyster Pond
"Little pond, on nice days you can rent little pedalos to paddle around in with one other person"
"Originally used to store oysters and then at the turn of the 20th century became popular with children as a boating lake for sailing their toy boats. Today it remains virtually unchanged from how it was then, now as popular as ever with families, locals and pedal boat hire fun. Small picnic area by the sjde of the pond and a lovely place to visit."
"Great place for crabbing even in the rain"
"Lovely little pond next to the river and beach. It dates back years. Used for small paddle-boats and a little crab fishing. Why crabs are in there, I have no idea!"
"It's a great place to go with children. You can catch some crabs, ride on the hire boats. In summer if you go there in the evening you can meet the nice gentleman with the electric boat and he will tell you the story of the steam boats that used to travel to Portsmouth."
