"The only reason I gave four stars is because of the parking as there is no dedicated car park. Otherwise, Hampden Park is generally fantastic for a very small walk around green land very close by the sea. There are toilets, dogs are allowed on a lead. Food at the restaurant is pretty good, anything from burgers, hotdogs and chips to Tea and Coffee. They sell food for the ducks/birds as well, just don't bring bread as it encourages rats who in turn decimate habitats for the birds. When the sun is out it will be very very busy and parking spaces would be scarce so be aware of that."
"My local park. Friendly squirrels everywhere. Some of the most beautiful trees I've ever met. Big pond full of friendly ducks and sometimes Egyptian geese. Heron comes to nest here too. There's a nice play park with swings, slides and a climbing bit. Also sand and a small zip wire. There's a wee cafe that does expensive ice cream but the chips aren't over priced. Toilets are located at the same spot. Garden for the blind needs tending but is still nice. Large footballs fields and skate park too. Highly recommended this park."
"Beautiful walking park filled with lush green trees, ducks, dogs, and birds."
"Wide range of wild birds, nice play area, walks, café, lovely lake with huge fish in it. Worth visiting."
"It was lovely to see all the spring flowers in the sunshine. Lots of birds in and around the lake. There are lots of benches to sit on around the lake where you can see all the wildlife. There's also some squirrels about and if you're lucky you might get to see some. If you feel like walking a bit further there are woods to explore. There's a café if you want some refreshments. For children there's a park near the café."
