"Everything was wonderful except for day 6. Seeing the Waterford Crystal museum was one of the main reasons we chose this tour. We got into Waterford at 4:45 pm on day 5 and the museum closed at 5. The next day we were on the bus and gone at 8 AM, never getting to spend anytime in Waterford. We spent about 4 hours in Killkenny than headed back to Dublin arriving at around 4:30. Absolutely no reason we couldn’t have spent 2 hours in Waterford and 2 hours in Killkenny. Had we known that we would not be able to see the Waterford museum, we never would have booked this tour."
"This is our first CIE tour, and if the first few days are any indication, it won’t be the last. Our driver/guide Tony has been wonderful…informative, humorous and we even met his mother"
"My mother, sister, cousin and I did the "Taste of Scotland and Ireland tour". My mother is wheelchair bound, there are handicap options in Ireland, but not so much in Scotland. If you have difficulty with blance, walking or climbing, this is definitely not the trip for you. If you're looking to sleep in and relax that too is not this trip. Your days start at 6am and goes, goes, goes. Mari was my driver in Scotland and Ireland. There is a guide in Scotland but Mari filled the role in Ireland. The Military tattoo and the Fringe were going on in Scotland which brought tons of tourist. Crowded but easy to navigate. The hotels were lovely and the provided meals were tasty."
"Niall was our driver from Derry. He was informative funny kind and thoughtful. We did the taste of Ireland tour and it was amazing. I would definitely do another c.i.e tour. Look out for Niall he is the best. Unfortunately we were very low on cash and couldn't find an A.T.M to give him a decent tip. In order to make up for this I wanted to give him a glowing review. Thank you Niall for all your great stories and craic!"
"The tour director/ bus driver as well as local guides were fantastic. Customer service is non existent otherwise. Never received our pre departure items, they arranged for a car to take 4 people and associated luggage, surprise didn’t fit. Delayed a half hour in leaving and spent over 3 hours trying to get into our flight. Hotels at the end of the trip were sub par."
