Reviews of The Lounge Eatery
"Completely unexpected. If you’re in the area, this is the place to eat! Such a great find. The place is expansive with outdoor courtyards and a barn, it’s incredibly peaceful, with excellent handmade food. I had a vegan halloumi wrap Nigella would approve of, and a decent flat white. It’s attached to a designer furniture store, with antiques warehouse next door, and Llandeilo is a nice kooky little town worth exploring while you’re there."
"Expensive celery soup at almost £8 which was not costed on the specials board. Like drinking hot slightly flavoured water with pieces of celery. Yes, it came with very nice bread & butter but to charge an extortionate amount for that was ridiculous. I was cycling with a friend who had the salad bowl which was much better value for money. Hugely disappointed."
"What a fantastic place! This is the 3rd time in a month we've been here, and each time the friendly staff and delicious food never fail to disappoint. Food was well proportioned, and with each biteful, you can taste how fresh the ingredients were. Also lovely outdoor and indoor atmosphere with loads of seating available. Will recommend to anyone"
"Great use of an old building and wonderful menu selection. Love the music and ambience and everything I've had so far tastes great. My mum goes regularly and enjoys. She's got Ms and they always look after her which is appreciated beyond measure. Lovely place."
"Had lunch at the Lounge on Saturday 26th. The setting is lovely. We both chose a "Buddha bowl" which came with a small piece of toasted sourdough bread. As my husband avoids Gluten he had Gluten free bread with his. It hadn't been toasted, and was the very "cardboardy" type of GF bread. If you're offering a GF option please make it the nicest GF you can find. Also, even though the other ingredients were very fresh and tasty, the Buddha bowl was a feta cheese and olive salad and overpriced at £10.50. Obviously I knew the price before ordering but on reflection I felt a bit stupid for being taken in by the name and description. I think that I expected something a bit more substantial. Update Have been chatting to the owner at the Lounge and am really pleased that she's looking at GF bread options. Also have to say that Saturday was my 2nd visit and previously a friend and I shared the Cheese/Ham/Quiche platter which was lovely, with chutney, grapes, olives, bread crackers. On that occasion there was so much that we doggy bagged lots of cheese. I've added another star for the feedback I received."
