Reviews of aparto Montrose
"For everyone reading the reviews that is thinking about staying here next September, please be aware that the building was under refurbishment for the year before September 2022, and has since come under different management, so please be aware of when the review was posted and look at the most recent ones. The wifi is the best thing about this place and its iffy most of the time. There are constant issues with no hot water or heating, there are 3 washing machines and 3 dryers for a building of 200 people, they only have 2 vacuums for the students (again almost 200 people in the building). There are constant fire alarms, all hours of day and night. when we first moved in there was night security, but they have been fired and not replaced, and a couple if weeks ago the front doors to the building got stuck open and were just left like that over night so nothing to stop randomers walking in . common areas are always really dirty. It is one main hallway that connects all of the rooms, (its laid out like a hotel) but in the refurbishment they put down wooden floors, so you can hear every person that walks past your room and everything they say. the blinds provided in the rooms might aswell be cling-film they let so much light in. the reception has issues retaining staff and maintenance issues take ages to fix (i've been waiting over 5 weeks for somethings to get fixed) i have been waiting over 5 months for compensation for no running water and i still haven't heard anything, and thats just naming a few issues. Don't live here, Save your money and the stress. it is way over priced for the service they are offering. Also just had a look at the reviews and they are having "local guides" give them 5 star reviews to keep up their average so they can take advantage of more students"
"Not a great place to live! Very expensive and definitely overpriced and the only real upside is that its close to UCD campus. - the building is always dirty like really dirty (in communal areas and hallways the floors haven't been mopped in months outside of the reception) - poorly maintained - they just finished refurbishment and the place is near falling apart again. Taps lose, communal bathrooms which are unusable because the door doesnt fit!? - communal bathrooms being used for storage -4 Washing machines for the whole 200+ people and they are never cleaned by Aparto so they STINK - reception is never open for the full day so getting access to a vacuum is impossible - constant fire alarm issues - ETREMELY overpriced for what it is. - staff retention at reception is deplorable"
"If the rent was cheaper it would be more acceptable. While it is so close to the UCD campus which is very convenient that's about it. Positives: - close to campus - Coffee shop nearby -near bus routes - good comunal study spaces - Spacious clean rooms Negatives: - Always some kind of maintenance issue whether it be the water not working for two days. The maintenance team will often just come whenever they wish with limited notice. - Fire alarms go off CONSTANTLY and often in the middle of the night - I've been woken up at 7am to construction - FOUR laundry machines for a 255 person building - Small shared kitchens with upwards of 10 people - not located near any decent supermarkets - not a flexible contract. you are LOCKED in once you sign it. - Built like a hotel so you can hear everything from the halway For accomodation in dublin, it's not bad at all but there are some serious issues in this building that make it not worth the outrageous rent"
"honestly the worst place i have ever lived, fire alarms go off day and night every couple of days if not every day. There have been issues of no running water or no cold water which happens every couple of days, which Aparto Montrose still have not paid compensation for. The accommodation is set out as a hotel so your room is connected to the main hall way; which means you can hear everyone that walks past because its a wooden floor (every footstep) and all of their conversations (reel fun when you trying to sleep or get work done). Also they only turn on the heating for a few hours per day, during select hours; which means you do not have control over your own heating for you room. I highly recommend NOT living here, and if I could get out of my contract I would; but i'm stuck here. do yourself a favour a pick anywhere else to live. Especially considering the outrageous amount in rent you'll have to pay... Not worth it 2022-2023 :("
"HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this apartment and this company's accommodation. Due to their fire safety problem, they were unable to provide accommodation to us fully paid tenants this year, but they informed me that only one week before my arrival. Moreover, my rent refund has been in arrears for nearly two months and has not been successfully dealt with. During this period, the apartment refused to deal with my refund for various reasons, and often could not contact any staff to follow up my refund process. So don't take this apartment into consideration! HIGH PRICE, LOW COST PERFORMANCE, especially POOR SERVICE!"
