Reviews of Premier Inn Burgess Hill hotel
"Stayed here two weekends this month and found rooms clean and tidy, extra pillows if needed in room. Staff on reception very polite and welcoming. Had breakfast in Beefeater which was enjoyed. Children loved being fussed over by staff. Lugi and his staff made us very welcome and we will be seeing you all again soon."
"This premier inn is quite lacking compared to others we've used in the past. The reception staff were absolutely lovely which gets the 2 stars, but a lot of bad stuff too. Couldn't believe they've cheaped out so far to use the single dispensed toilet paper holder instead of just a roll of toilet paper. This to me is horrible for staying in a hotel room. Every now and then in the night we could hear water in pipes for someone else's bathroom, and it was incredibly loud. The rooms are looking quite worn and could do with a refresh. I wasn't even sure if our AC unit was doing anything, as our room temp never changed? Our bathroom door rubbed against the top of the doorframe making a horrible loud noise when trying to close the door. We had the breakfast one morning, and my partners scrambled egg had loads of pieces of eggshells in it! The member of staff overlooking the breakfast was very apologetic but realistically the chefs should be able to cook scrambled egg without getting eggshell in it... We didn't have the breakfast the next morning and went somewhere else instead. All in all it was pretty disappointing, only positive is it being close to Brighton with easy access via the trains"
"Important to note. Staff excellent all through (understaffed due to staff not turning up) stayed many times but this time... the place looks very tired and a little grubby. Dinner was acceptable (too many clients for the hardworking staff who turned up). Breakfast was utter chaos, rammed with bodies, empty buffet fare, no bowls, cups etc etc etc. So sad for hard working conscientious staff. Restaurant usually good and well priced. Excellent menu. A real shame all round. Hope this helps."
"We stayed for one night, we had a very large rather tired room, probably for families as there were spare beds. Our bed was very small and not comfortable with one rather soft pillow each. The windows could not be opened and the air conditioning which I don’t like all the time, was very noisy. Someone above us was walking around, even during the night, waking us up. So noisy and therefore a really poor night’s sleep. The bathroom was good and the majority of staff very pleasant but due to the lack of sleep I won’t be coming back!"
"We chose the Premier Inn in Burgess Hill after reading the reviews and it's easy accessibility to Brighton (car approx.25mins & a regular training services 15mins) We weren't disappointed as from the time we booked in the friendliness of the staff became obvious. Nothing seemed too much for them to help. Our room was neat, tidy & clean. It was a large room and with a large bathroom. We had breakfast there and it was more than adequate. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening but went in for a drink (prices reasonable) and it was very popular. All in all a very pleasant stay. We have stayed in a number of hotels (home & abroad) and the Burgess Hill Premier staff were excellent. We would certainly recommend staying there."
