Reviews of Goldsmith Hall
"Bedrooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. The shower is horrible with lots of mold! This was very disgusting. Also, the rooms are not soundproof and you can hear the train passing by which makes sleeping very hard"
"Looks good and modern lot's of smiling faces inside"
"This place was okay for a short stay but it could definitely use some improvement. The duvet had some weird stains on it. As for the bathroom, it's REALLY tiny. You have to squeeze past the toilet to get to the shower and the sink is in front of the door. So that was not exactly a pleasant experience. The kitchen was a decent space with a fridge, oven, microwave, tables, chairs and a sofa. The dorms were also very close to Pearse Station (DART). Overall, it was an alright stay but I think it'd be better to spend a little extra on a hotel room."
"I always ask myself if I stay anywhere, would I stay there again. The answer for this place is a resounding "no". The staff at goldsmith hall are exceptional, professional, and lovely but this place is essentially empty student accommodation. There's one bathroom for 6 apartments. The beds are tiny and the finishing is really poor as can be seen from the skirting board in the photos and the mildew on the bathroom ceiling. At 4.30 am I was woken by hammering. At 8.00 am we were all woken by room service asking if we wanted our rooms cleaned. We were working til 3am the same night and felt wrecked from our night at goldsmith. If you have it, spend the extra cash on a hotel with your own bathroom, your own big bed, and a quiet night sleep. Might be good for a self catering stag party or budget traveller."
"Small, but adequate housing. Nice to be near the campus. Rooms are with a double bed, desk, shelves, closet and sink with mirror. Bathroom is shared in the suite of about 3 rooms. Kitchen area is also shared in the suite. Downsides= no AC, some road noise, no onsite parking or loading area, and elevator didn't work in the summer so we had to drag our bags up flights of stairs."
