Reviews of Buswells Hotel
"Very much enjoyed our stay at Buswells. Our trip got off to a rocky start but the staff at this hotel was wonderful. We were able to get in our room early for a much needed shower and clothes laundered. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the location was perfect for all the sites we wanted to see. We'll be back!"
"The hotel is easy to locate and and has a vintage feel inside. The service was very friendly. Our room was a little difficult to locate at first, and the hotel may not be accessible for those with mobility issues due to the many stairs. Our room was clean, particularly the bathroom, and facing a quiet street. It was well located for our exploring purposes. A heater is provided in the room, which is helpful for cold mornings. If you overheat at night, I’d recommend asking for a top sheet as the down comforter was far too warm for us. I was mildly perturbed by the additional breakfast fee of 10 euro given that I paid for breakfast in my booking. Though our food timely arrived, we were not given salt and pepper so it was unfortunately bland. Also, probably due to the stairs, the food does not arrive on a cart and thus needs a large, clear space for the trays. The staff kindly booked us a taxi for the morning, which was very helpful. Overall, a fine stay for a couple nights in Dublin!"
"Country Hotel in the heart of the city! Had a great midweek stay at Bushwells. The compact double room is a good size with an extremely comfortable mattress and duvet. Showers had good pressure and the Rituals toiletries were appreciated. Had salmon on ratatouille and mash for dinner. Flavourful and was nice and hot. I couldn’t fault the breakfast the full Irish is didn’t disappoint, though I would definitely need to try the warm danishes again amazing! Highly recommend and was competitive in terms of price"
"Our recent (December 2022) stay at Buswells could not have been better. Its extraordinary location made our Dublin visit and work efficient, convenient, and a pleasure. But more remarkable was the lively, homey spirit of the hotel, especially throughout the common areas, restaurant, and bar. It was unlike other hotels in the area. There was a true sense of community at Buswells."
"Lovely hotel. Very courteous and helpful staff; helped me find shops to purchase some of the last minute things i needed like waterproof hiking boots and an adaptor for my cell. Room was great, esp the long bathtub i could lie down in....plenty of hot water. Bed was good. I had a room on the street and there was a smidgen of noise, but nothing like in mainland Europe.... Slept like a baby after a long long journey by plane. Great doorman, too."
