"Really good experience today with Laya Health and Wellbeing clinic. Being very close to Brides Glen Luas, this clinic is easy to locate. All the staff including admin, nurses and doctors are very polite and professional. I also requested for Sick Leave Certificate post appointment and checkup and it was in my mailbox within an hour of requesting via phone call. The only area of improvement is the longer wait time which is almost an hour on the weekends, although this can be understood with the huge crowd of patients. Laya is doing great work in Ireland and this clinic is impressive!"
"AVOID THIS CLINIC! I attended the Cherrywood Clinic last Sunday the 12th of Feb. When asked I informed the intake nurse of the symptoms I was experiencing and my allergies. I clearly stated that I am allergic to penicillin and that I also experience Hay-fever. I was sent back to the waiting room where I was subsequently called in by the doctor. The doctor and I had a conversation about my symptoms and she said she would fill a prescription, which I picked up at reception before leaving. On my way to the pharmacy I decided to search online what medication i was prescribed by the doctor. To my horror, I was prescribed the very medication that I am allergic to, penicillin. I contacted the clinic immediately and was advised that they would have the doctor alter the prescription, there was no mention of it being a concern or an issue and it was downplayed immediately. I demanded to be contacted by the doctor who saw me to explain how this was even possible that she prescribed medication that I am allergic to. The doctor who I attended then called me, downplaying the issue and said that they are "working closely with their software developers to make it easier to see patient allergies and that this was a technical glitch". This is unacceptable. How many patients are currently at risk of the same issue and how many patients would investigate what medicines they are instructed to take? How many patients in the past five days have been at risk of taking medicines that have been inaccurately prescribed to them? How is this not an urgent situation and why is Laya not taking immediate action to correct this assumed technical glitch or have I been lied to?"
"This is really life saver. Just a walking distance from my house. And compared to the medical facilities in Ireland they’re surprisingly quick. I recently had a damaged ligament in my foot and didn’t had a GP registration to go to. But with Irish life insurance I could just walk-in and instantly got appointment with doctors, Xray and prescription. All the staff is so nice as well."
"Excellent. In and out in 40 min on a Thursday afternoon for a minor infection. Much better and faster than the GP where I couldn't get an appointment for this week. Antibiotics prescribed. Very kind and professional stuff. Keep it up, Laya. We need clinics like these. Thank you to all the staff doing amazing work."
"We had a very good experience with the centre. There are enough parking space and the surroundings are very well maintained and beautiful. We had to book an appointment and fill a form online. The doctor was very easy with the kid and there was only a few minutes of waiting. Yes, I recommend this place. It would be great if they can include all sort of emergencies. Make sure that you fill the form and do a check in, otherwise you will ended up waste time in waiting, not all the employees in the check-in sections are aware of the processes."
