"If you want more than an empty pub then you need to welcome visitors. I was on my first night of a holiday in the Cheswardine area and as such I was a stranger to this pub. But that's no excuse for a surly service. The young woman behind the bar had attitude and could barely raise a smile. I wanted to come back during my stay. However I couldn't be bothered to face another dose of rudeness. In contrast, everyone else I met in the surrounding villages were so welcoming and lovely. Cheswardine is a great place to visit. But if you are a visitor and want a good night out with a friendly service then you may want to consider another pub."
