Reviews of bod Stoke
"Love Bod! Often visit with friends after work. It's compact but with a good range of booze and a nice atmosphere."
"One of my favourite pubs I love when I can change here at Stoke as I can have a cheeky beer on the platform and watch the trains go by. They have a decent food menu when food is on and a good selection of local Staffordshire beers, it's one titanic that you will wish to sink."
"Went in for a pint and some food at Stoke station whilst waiting for a train. I was told there was no food on today. Fair enough, that happens. I ordered a pint and asked if I could nip to Subway and bring that in whilst having my drink. I was told no. I thought that was a bit unreasonable considering their food was not available today. Obviously, if their food was on, I would fully understand this stance. In fact, I wouldn't have dreamed of asking if I knew they were serving food! Most pubs that don't do food have no problem with you bringing a sandwich or what not in (a Chinese takeaway would be an entirely different matter, obviously). Pint was nice, though."
"Lovely bar, but they need to work harder to see its full potential. Unclear why on a relatively quiet Saturday evening the door to the station is locked. A frame outside on the platform inviting one in, but a locked door, no explanation. No sign. They have some interesting beers, but need to keep the fridge stocked and should diversify their ciders. Everyone is pleasant and it’s probably one of the best railway station bars I’ve been in, the decor is lovely, but don’t lock your door to customers. Manage your business. I’ll definitely be back."
"If you want to experience really good coffee in a comfortable, shiny, neon lit eclectic environment bod is where to be. I’ll put my neck out and say that it is one of the most atmospheric coffee shops I’ve ever experienced in a while. Walk in and immediately look up; the glaze of the white and green clay plays trick with the light that is captivating. The cafes furniture begs a lot of time to be expended in its comfort. Walk to the bar area and peer over at the beer and coffee set up. It’s craft at its best. The hipster staff member will see to it that your beverage is poured with an artistic stroke. A superb venue and located in a train station?"
