"Visited again yesterday. Choice of food and drink excellent. Quality food served hot and on a warm to hot plate. Refreshing. We enjoyed our meal and will be back. The pub was warm, clean and the staff service excellent. Check our the daily offers for value!!!"

"Never been before so thought we would give it a go. Ordered half chicken Sunday roast.didnt get any mash with it that was extra good start. Well it came out and it was as if it had all been microwaved the extra side of mash I would say was instant.hardly any veg and two roast potatoes.the chicken was as dry as a pig's ear.we asked for extra gravy to try make it edible which I nearly managed it but her indoors she just couldn't.we asked for a partial refund but we told that they don't do that but we could have a free drink or pudding we opted for a pudding and in fairness they were good. The guy we spoke to however did tell us that he would never have the chicken which sort of told us that they have had complaints before. I won't be revisiting again"

"Immediately upon walking through the door, our customer service experience was impeccable. Andrew met us with kindness and understanding, and read my special note on having social anxiety and needing somewhere nice and quiet. He seated us, and offered us a relocation a short while later that was more accustomed to my needs; he set us down near a window with plenty of space from the rest of the restaurant, which was perfect. He also gave a clear explanation of how we can order, and that we can use the app if we’re uncomfortable ordering at the bar. This was absolutely perfect, and he came back to check on us around 2 or 3 more times, polite and courteous as always. We ordered our food and took a moment to appreciate the scenery; a clean, comfortable setting where the tables were beautifully decorated and the art on the walls had not a single speck of dust on them. It’s very obvious the owner takes pride in his restaurant, which can also be seen reflected in the food. The food took 30 minutes to arrive, which just reiterates the freshness and care for quality that we expected the moment we walked through the door. The fish and chips was incredible. Truly the best fish and chips either of us has had in a very long time; the fish perfectly crispy, the batter even and tasteful, and the fish perfectly flaky. The chips were amazing too, however the double portion looked almost identical to my singular portion, as we planned to split the double portion between us and have a few more chips each. We didn’t end up doing so because there wasn’t a great difference in the portion sizes there. Overall, the quality of service and the quality of the food had us buzzing about our meal hours after, and left us full all the way up to the next morning. I’ve already recommended this place to my family and friends, and am going to make a habit of coming back. Thanks Andrew and the rest of the team - Andrew needs a raise!!"

"Extremely disappointed, went for father's Day. All the prices are now £16 for the cheapest plate (three sausages and some mash), £21 for a carvery, £21 for a steak..I know it's 2-4-1 so really you're taking £8-£10 a plate....and then...look at the plates you get, terrible. Chips are hard and Luke warm, as are the peas, steak was burnt (asked for medium), Drinks - Expensive! £2.75 for a J30, £3.15 for a diet coke, I asked the bar person about prices going up, the answer...yeah....cost of living. Voting with out feet I'm afraid."

"Food was kinda ok but it's just the little things that make the big difference. Why is the cucumber a sorry excuse of a slither ...just cut it normally. If it's in a packet...get a cucumber from the Aldi opposite for 40p. Why is the side portion of onion rings on a plate that is meant to be worth £17.45 half the side of the other one. If it's not great out of the packet, don't use it. Why is the 'salad' on a £14.55 burger plate a tiny bit of lettuce. No mixed grills or fish and chips available. Service was good and staff were nice and I know it's 2-4-1 so "you get what you pay for" rule....but the little things to push up the plate a little will make the difference on what otherwise could of been a nice visit. Contemplating other meal places in the future now....we wouldn't have done had the above just been that bit better."
