"Absolutely love this place, lovely warm atmosphere and welcome from all the staff. We've recently moved to the area, husband loves the ales, the food is great. Reasonably priced and plenty of it. Always need to book as it's popular. Can't wait for the summer when we can sit outside also. Love it."
"By far the best pub in the area and very lucky to have it as my local. They have the best ale, a range of great nibbles, the best sweet mix :) and tasty home cooked food. The barman, Tom, also makes me a great cuppa to accompany my late night cheese board! Cheers!"
"Paid my first visit to the pub today at lunchtime, we sat outside with it being a nice day, had a pint of Wainwright beer and ordered the steak and ale pie. A friend had the pulled pork bap. Both were very good! My steak pie had good chunks of steak. One of the best pies I've had, the chips were chunky and the onion rings homemade. Will definitely be back."
