"Booked a table for a lovely Mother’s Day meal after sharing many celebrations at this pub, we had high expectations and were all rather excited. However these expectations where not met. We all ordered starters and when they brought them out 1 was missing. We waited almost 20 minutes for the missing starter and by this point we had all finished eating. The mains were awful; the lamb chops were tough and chewy, the vegetables were rock solid and raw, the hunters chicken was dry and didn’t have much BBQ sauce. We did have a check back but unfortunately it was too early on into our meals. As we aren’t ones to complain we just carried on but when they came to clear the plates we did have to say we are sorry but the food wasn’t up to standard. The manager agreed to take the cost of our desserts off the bill, which we were grateful for but we would have preferred not having to pay for the awful main meals. Unfortunately we won’t be sharing any special occasions or any occasion here again. Wouldn’t recommend"
"Went for a meal on a Thursday. The place was not too busy but many tables occupied. Lovely atmosphere, music not too loud. I loved the lots of different sections you can sit down and not being overlooked, but still open space and light feeling. The food was lovely, I went for the duck, it was done superb. Polite staff, our table was checked on. Outside nice seating area with tv-s, comfortable, dog friendly. Great outdoor space for summertime."
"Food has gone down hill recently and had to wait over 80 minutes on a weekday for a burger that was drowned in sauce not impressed at all. The bar staff were lovely on the other hand."
"Lovely meal and a nice cold pint. Very professional staff. We were able to sit outside as it was a pleasant evening. As soon as customers left the tables were sanitised. Definitely will return. Thank you."
