"Head is really good professional and respectful of parents unlike our government"
"Pressure to humor their half-hearted attempts to practice a religion they won't actually teach you about, if you're smart they won't move you ahead a year because they just care about results, not each individual's success. But every school is probably like this, so at least they have decent equipment. Psychological pressure to do extra curricular stuff you don't care about. School rules that don't make sense. You may even be bullied by teachers trying to be cool unless they've been fired by now. Full of decent and kind teachers too but undermined by its desperate attempt to feel like a "posh" school which just means strict nonsense rules, relentless school days without decent space or time to have a break and no mental health support."
"3 rd child going through STCC now. I would say the school have done their best for all 3 of our children with very varied experiences each time. Some okay teachers and some incredible teachers. Eldest child left with 11A/A* Had plenty of support for other two with different needs. I would recommend stcc."
"Although I had many great memories in this school, I believe the rules were too strict and instead of making changes to the school they would only change the rules and make them more strict and wouldn’t deal with any real problems. They never really helped me out with maths, I along with past teachers saw a lot of potential in my grades which came to maths however as these two good teachers of mine left school to work in different countries I was left with a poor management team within the maths department and I was sent to a much lower set were I’d be doing the same maths that I had been taught in Year 7 which is why I personally blame the school failing my maths GCSE . The food canteens were often overpriced, my mum would have to put in £20 a week just for me to get food because the things I wanted to eat would often cost £3. Coming back onto the rules I also thought the restrictions for boys was quite tough as well, we often loved to play on the school field and the main game would like to play was takedown bulldog which of course they explained had caused many injuries but from personal experience after five years of playing the game in that school I hadn’t encountered any injuries whatsoever. Rules on uniforms were ridiculous as well, they would focus more on uniform than the real problems within the school, it was like being in a military parade wear your uniform had to be perfect otherwise you would face strict punishment. Girls had to have their skirts 10 cm above the knee no less and every student had to keep their blazer on if the weather was too hot and they were indoors but this was only in the corridors. If the weather was too cold and there was no heating we have we would not be allowed to wear our coats or jumpers just to keep us warm. Another thing was bullying, there was quite a lot of bullying in the school and if someone comes to report bullying in the school it would take awhile to get to the bottom of it, but that was only if you didn’t write on the yellow form. if you wrote on the yellow form it would take weeks if not months for things to actually happen so there was no one to one talks with teachers unless you went to them but the first thing they say was “did you go to student services to report this?” Although there were many things wrong with the school I did have some of the best memories, mainly with my friends. I hope that changes can be made to improve this school, hopefully not the rules again bit more drastic changes and for students to have less restrictions and have a better time in there than I and others."
"The nursery is very welcoming, staff are always friendly, happy and ready to greet me and my children, and at the end the day tell me about the fun they have had. Both my children have been going since they were 9 months old, and love it. I would recommend BBs to everyone."
