"I had the pleasure of flying with Josh for a birthday present last weekend. It was phenomenal! Josh was welcoming, informative and made the whole experience fun and memorable. Paragliding itself is a great experience, but Josh's experience and personality made this occasion MUCH better. For anyone worrying about safety, Josh clearly knows what he is doing and is very experienced. I felt in safe hands the whole time. Highly recommend. Thanks again Josh!"
"Ok, sit down with a cuppa and I’ll tell you why you need to do this awesome thing. In all honesty, my eyebrows went up so high they nearly left my face when my husband presented me with a voucher for paragliding for my 50th. I had to sneakily check he hadn't upped my life insurance the week before. Apparently I'd said I'd rather have 'an experience' than gifts for my birthday. In my head I was probably thinking basket weaving or something. I had to get on YouTube to remind myself what paragliding was, and then after reading other reviews I thought, well heck, why not?! From the moment we met Josh I was totally relaxed about the whole experience and just went along with whatever he said because this guy totally knows his stuff. My two main concerns were forgetting the (very simple!) instructions for take-off and landing, and throwing up on some unsuspecting passing bird or paraglider as I get a bit travel sick. However, I need not have worried on either point: while I was busily thinking 'lean into the wind and run' my feet just sort of left the ground and then there we were gliding around over the hills and it was the loveliest chilled experience. I've read about some people doing spins etc and it sounds like a blast, but my stomach wouldn't have played nicely. Gently swooping around over the hills, seeing the sea, watching the gulls and kestrels, chatting to Josh and learning a whole load of fascinating stuff about thermals and lifts and other cool new things was top banana. I marvelled at the fact that it was possible to just decide where to land and then do it. I reckon if I’d asked Josh to drop me back into the car seat he’d have managed it. For some inexplicable reason, the muscles in my legs had morphed into porridge when I wasn’t looking, so my feet gently touching down prompted my backside to follow. That wasn’t in the instructions but thankfully only Josh and the grazing cows noticed and both were very kind about it. I keep telling my kids to step outside their comfort zone so I have to walk the talk now and again. If you're even remotely thinking 'that looks pretty fun' then do it. My husband did all the communicating about booking and he said Josh was brilliant to deal with. There are people offering similar things closer to where we live but I’ll go along with other reviewers and say it’s worth travelling a bit further to get this first-class fun!"
"Absolutely incredible experience, Josh is a fountain of knowledge with all things paragliding and I felt 100% safe in his capable hands. Any feelings of apprehension completely disappeared when I could see how experienced his is, i felt totally at ease. Corkscrew dives and playing in the thermals with kestrels- utterly magical. Thoroughly recommend booking your paragliding experience with Josh."
"Went for a late January trip up with Josh at Mount Caburn this week and it was brilliant. The trip was booked for my partner’s birthday and although obviously it’s all weather dependent, Josh made a real effort to make sure we could go on our preferred day. The gliding was a wonderful experience, a fabulous view and actually surprisingly relaxing (instead of scary, which is what I expected). I think in part this was down to Josh making us both feel relaxed and safe during the gliding. He also told us a lot about what we looks for in finding the right weather conditions, super interesting! 100% recommend - I hope we can go up again with him some day!"
