Reviews of Cafe Latte Lavazza Stony Stratford
"Was decent enough however was a little dossapointed at how long it took to make a milkshake. Watched as the two young staff members were making it and passing it to each other to taste before serving it up."
"Terrible place to go to! My girlfriend and I attended the Stony Strafford Classic today, New year day 2023. We went to this cafe as I needed the toilet, My girlfriend sat down while I ordered our drink, Americano & Hot chocolate. I was told that there was a 10 minute wait which was fine. After queuing for 2o minutes to use the one and only toilet available in the premise, I returned to our table to find that the drinks hadn't arrived. Not surprised as the kids ( they did look like they weren't of legal working age) operating the barista machine didn't look like they knew what they were doing. I asked the woman who appeared in to be in charge where our drinks were as we had waited a while for two simple drinks. She went to check and I was told that the girl was making them. When I asked if they were made right now, she gave me the same answer and walked away without apologies. I had to follow her through the cafe to ask for a refund. Again I was told without any care to queue to get it. Inexistent customer service, terribly poor service! I can't comment on how the drinks were as we never got them! One to be avoid."
"Nightmare !!!! Disorganised!! 2 kids trying to cook and serve take coffees out . We arrived at 9.15 and left at 10am not even getting a coffee . Every customer was unhappy & most took refunds . Just needed to sort preparation out before opened & some one to Manage . Poor kids didn't stand a chance of providing a good service. Some staff arrived as we was leaving .. atmosphere was brilliant due to people laughing at Faulty towers service .. where was Mr Basil"
"Sunday morning breakfast was very poor, Coffee was small and luke warm. When breakfast arrived two items where missing, replaced one but the other item wasnt available. Poor quality food that was overcooked, will never go back. I try to support small local businesses but this place needs to improve its standards, poor value for the prices they charge."
"If I could give zero stars I would, first time coming here today (28/10) and saw they had gluten free options (coeliac). However, every restaurant is different so I like to double check, firstly I asked if the hash browns are gluten free as some are a may contain. A few minutes later the lady returned and advised she couldn’t tell if they were or not so classed them as not. I asked if the sausages were gluten free and she said no however they had vegetarian sausage. I then asked to see the packaging of the hash browns and she laughed whilst going to get them. I checked the ingredients and was told they are cooked on their own so I was fine to have them. When my breakfast arrived I noticed a think black hair underneath the eggs, I brought it to her attention and she stood there and inspected it for a long minute, I have blonde fine hair so no way was this mine. A new breakfast was brought out to me with an apology, however one of my fried eggs were undercooked. I had left that one and ate the other. If working in a food establishment then basic food hygiene and knowledge of allergies need to be taught. I used to work in hospitality and understood the seriousness of allergies and cross contamination, however there was no knowledge of this. Although the server did know 100% that the jacket potatoes were gluten free. If you have any food allergies I WOULDN’T recommend eating here as the lack of knowledge when it comes to allergies isn’t reassuring in the slightest. Hairs in food happen time to time that can be sorted easily, but not so easy to make better after making someone ill based on the lack of knowledge and basic training. Also, the presentation of the eggs didn’t look appetising, microwave isn’t everyone’s friend, especially eggs."
