Reviews
"Never again. They used two different methods to remove my shellac (electric and polish remover soaking) and they didn’t even manage to remove it all. I didn’t notice it straight away, and after a few days my nails started to break and I noticed that the first coat of transparent polish was still on them. Also, I started to notice that some red stains (my previous shellac was red) were left on the side of three of my nails. Very poor job overall. It is very cheap indeed (7 euro) but it’s worth putting some extra euro and avoid destroying your nails . Just went to another shop today and they managed to do something great with the state of my nails, but I wouldn’t go back to castle even if it was the last shop in malahide."
"I had such a poor experience this week in castlenails and will most definitely not be going back. The guy removing my shellac was so rough. He used the electric tool to remove it as the acetone wasn’t left on long enough for it to lift. I asked him not to use it as it would damage my nails but he continued to use it n fact he ignited me. He was rough filing my nails at the end also and in general had no regard for the integrity of my nails. A couple of days later my nails are still sore and the condition of them is now terrible. So dissatisfied."
"Firstly I was quoted 35 but charged 43. Within a matter of hours the paint chipped on my thumb nail. When I received a call back I was shocked to hear the response and attitude. I was told it was 43 even though my confirmation booking confirmed 35. Then when I said I'd had my nails done many many times in Tomas Nails in Finglas the staff told me to go back there then and hung up. I would absolutely NOT recommend Castle nails at all. Over charged and abused when brought to their attention SHOCKING"
"Experience is good, the nail techs are lovely. I have gone for two sets now. First set was plain black acrylic coffins with little rhinestone crosses for Halloween. They were uneven and lasted 2 weeks. Considering the €100 fee, I expected more. The paint also came off and I had to go back in a week later for two nails to be replaced and rhinestones to be put back. For the current set I have milky white builder gel ballerinas with a glitter french. Thumbs were completely different sizes but I ignored it because they’re nice. I got them on the 14th, it hasn’t even been two weeks and I have my right pointer finger coming off and my left pinky snapped in half, bringing my natural nail with it. I almost threw up from the pain and my nail filled with blood. It’s so sore that even tap water burns. My toe nails were also painted white, but three on the left foot were filed into a point. Very embarrassing for the TWO nail techs that did them. I won’t be coming back."
"I have such a good experience when I go into castle nails, staff so friendly and welcoming, it’s always a nice calm relaxed atmosphere. I always get the spa pedicure and it never disappoints my feet feel so so soft and polish doesn’t budge until my next appointment. I get a full set of acrylic and these are amazing, no lifting no chipping. I would highly recommend castle nails if your looking for the best nails and the best service."
