"Lovely intimate, historical theatre with a nice bar. We saw Jack and the Beanstalk here (Produced by REDuck ProDUCKtions and UpShoot Theatre) and it was riotously joyous. A cracking script, delivered by an outstanding cast. Would definitely return to see more theatre here."

"Great little theatre. A real gem! The last theater still standing from the theatres built by Fischer. Apart from the cosy feel inside which makes plays feel very intimate like as if they are put on just for you, there is also a nice bar open all the time allowing one to simply drop in and sip a cuppa and chat with a friend. The art gallery upstairs is filled with light and spaciousness transporting one in the scenes imagined in the artwork displayed on the walls ...like windows into other worlds and intimate spaces."

"Last years Moulin rouge was outstanding...i live 120 yards from the theatre...and have been here for 20 years..i have now decided to volunteer at the theatre at the box office or whatever they need...i was a theatre student in north London when I was 18 years old and was doing a drama foundation course...A level English literature .A level theatre studies.and A level art including costume and theatre design...now at the age of 49..i am about to launch my own small performing arts company in the next 6 months after many 19 quiet years in this little town.."
