"Impeccable staff service this very old and slightly tired hotel. We weren't expecting to have a seafront view and were pleasantly surprised. However, the room has single glazing and was cold and noisy given its location next to the local bus depot. Apart from this we were happy with the excellent location and facilities."
"Very tired hotel. Extremely hot and had to change first room as radiator wouldn't turn off. Costly given the state of the room and bathroom. Beds uncomfortable and very weird pillow stuffing. Clean bathroom but odd cleaning liquid provided for shower and sink. Needs a complete refurbishment, could be lovely given the location which is the only redeeming feature."
"We stayed for a week across 2 rooms, first was the honeymoon suite, we saw the fireworks from the sofa in the room. The second was a disabled room with a large wet room suitable for my wife's disability. Housekeeping was lovely and the rooms were very clean. Breakfast was delicious, a few problems with communication on the order but each time was corrected quickly. The reception staff were stars of the stay. Patricia, Amanda and Nick on the evening staff were the most notable. The managers Peter and Nick were very friendly. Our stay was framed nicely by the sea view and the close walk to local bars, restraunts and the pier."
"Extremely noisy hotel. There's a massive coach station right behind the hotel and you will be woken at 4am with the coaches moving and beeping. The rooms are absolutely boiling & extremely run down & outdated. The rooms were clean enough but staff were unhelpful when asking for help. I've stayed in the travel lodge down the road and had a much better experience and sleep!"
