"Booked our stay online and later I added breakfast for the two of us. I took a phone screen shot of the additional transaction but on checking in at the hotel only 1 breakfast had been registered. Our room was tired but clean however the bathroom floor was grubby. To end on a good note, the staff are helpful and friendly. There is also a dedicated phone in the lobby to call a taxi and a supermarket + fuel garage adjacent to the hotel."
"We booked a meal in the Brewers Fayre for Friday evening and breakfast for the 2 mornings we were staying. We had a phone call on Friday to say the restaurant was closed due to no power. When we arrived at the hotel the receptionists 2 of them were obviously having some issue with the computer and totally ignored us for a good few minutes!!! We were then told the restaurant was closed all weekend!!!! Luckily we found a great pub nearby. The room was not up to Premier Inn standards as I know them. It was dated dirty paint peeling of wood, curtains all stained. Mattress and pillows had seen better days. I would not recommend staying there, certainly not up to Lenny Henry's standards he advertises. We also had to ask for our breakfast money back!!!"
"Front staff was very nice and helpful, unfortunately had to stay in a disabled room due to being fully booked, not usually a problem however this room really did smell like an old people’s home, and there were moths EVERYWHERE. The bed was in terrible shape, the bathroom was in disrepair, the shower curtain filthy. Very disappointed to spend £110 on a 3 star hotel of this bad quality. May as well have been a 1 star given how poor the condition of the room was. Premier inn really need to sort this one out."
"We stay in premier inns 3-4 times a year. Usually for 1 night at a time. This has to be the worst one we have been in. The double bed was really squeaky, I mean every time either of us moved it made a noise, which meant we didn't sleep well and neither did the children as it kept waking them up too. The room smelt damp, the minute you opened the door it hit you, once you were in the room you got used to it. The whole room and bathroom need upgrading. The bath panel is all bent out of shape. The bath itself had limescale and was grimy. The shower curtain was stained all along the bottom ( it doesn't cost much to replace !! ) It just wasn't a great stay. To top it off, breakfast should of opened at 6.30 and didn't open until 7. The reception team were lovely and refunded us the cost of breakfast because the place didn't open. However the staff in the restaurant were not as nice. Still insisting that they did no wrong and that they never open until 7. Despite the premier inn staff saying this was untrue and that it always opens at 6.30 and the booking saying 6.30, website saying 6.30 and menu in the room saying 6.30am !! To top it off the breakfast was Cold and the gluten free toast room 15 minutes to come out. Certainly wouldn't stay at this particular premier inn again. Can not fault the reception team though, very welcoming, sorting the breakfast issue and apologized about the bed."
"We had a good 2 nights stay as we had a room at the back of the hotel.we spoke to a lady that was far from happy as her room was at the front of the hotel and was 26 degs yet the outside temp was far below that not sunny at all. No problems with our room but the breakfasts we had as a deal with the room were pretty dire the bacon had been under the heat lamp till it was brittle the sausages survived a little better ,when will they learn not to put huge quantities out all at once which means the last of the batch is frazzled under the heat, guess their answer is get up earlier."
