"Best selection of beers in Ringsend. Pints are fresh too. Food is nice but portions are small. The lamb shank is about the size of a chicken drumstick. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere."
"Roast beef Sunday lunch was really good. Unfortunately our son left his phone behind and the ferry refused to turn around. It took several calls before the Merry Cobbler were persuaded to post the phone to our address in England. It did duly arrive just before Christmas much to our son's delight."
"Came here with a group of 4 towards the end of the night. Had a solid meal. Nothing amazing, but not bad either. We started with wings. They were wonderfully big and tasty, but not very crispy. Others thought they might've been underdone, but I thought they were fine. Two of us got the Chicken Pie and were really pleased, so I'd recommend that. I got their burger and was very disappointed. It was overdone, tough, and kind of chunky; would not recommend. And finally my dad was pleased with the fish and chips (or whatever they call it). The place itself is nice, with a pretty typical eclectic collection of stuff on the walls and surfaces. Seems like a fun place to hang out in the evenings for a pint or for dinner."
"The merry cobbler hits a lot of my key requirements when I'm looking to get a bit of a day drunk on! The staff are friendly and they advised us very well! the Guinness is top of the pops! the food was well made and the portion very good! the main draw was its dog friendly so your pouch can enjoy a pint of stout with ya!!!! The music is very poppy though, which I don't like but you might be a sap ."
