Reviews of The Stage Door Cafe
"What a hidden gem! A friend recommended this cafe for breakfast and it was amazing! The cafe is small, but cozy with little tables and seating areas. There is wood trim and stained glass, along with nicknacks that make you smile. The staff is very friendly and genuinely care about your well being. They'll chat you up and you'll have new friends by the time you walk out! The food was fantastic and plentiful. I highly recommend the full Irish breakfast. Treat yourself to an Irish coffee while you're at it! Enjoy!"
"Loved this spot. Came here per a friend’s recommendation and we were glad we did. We came around 11:30am on a Sunday and we had to wait a little bit (the restaurant is quite cozy) but it wasn’t too bad. We each had an Irish breakfast, which you could see being made right in front of the open kitchen. Cash only. Indoor and outdoor dining available. The service was lovely - a bit snarky but all in good humor. I also liked how the food was cooked fresh to each order, so while there was a wait when there was a rush, the patience is worth it."
"This place was wonderful. My family and I traveled to Dublin from NJ and were looking for a place just like this. It’s small but very cute and cozy. You have to get there early, and you must try the Irish Coffee, there is plenty of toast with your meal. My teenage son was with us and he enjoyed it as well. The owner was very funny and made the experience twice as fun. Temple Bar is a short walk away, since we were there early in the AM we got some good pics."
"This is such an amazing place - must go when you visit Dublin. The food is delicious and portion sizes are very generous! The service is absolutely amazing - funniest people about and so so friendly. Would come back when next visiting Dublin in a heartbeat."
"We both had the Irish Breakfast and an Irish Coffee. Both were outstanding. Additionally, the staff were both very friendly and took time to check in on us several times and visit with is as well. Good old fashioned Irish hospitality! A must when in Dublin."
