Reviews of Insomnia Coffee Company
"A nice neighborhood cafe. Not my favourite coffee in the area, but it's location is great and lots of parking, so v convenient. Every time I go they seem to give me a take away cup for my sit in coffee, so it looses a star for that. Coffee just tastes better from a ceramic cup, and its better for the environment"
"Nice café with lots of space to sit in. Next to a school so busy at lunch time and after 4pm."
"Beware of the "Medium Roast" scam! My wife and I were fairly regular customers of this place- despite the rising costs of a cup of coffee. However, we will not be going back again following some sharp practice and some poor customer service. We ordered two coffees and I was asked if I wanted them "medium" or "dark" roast. Not being an expert I asked for "medium". I was then shocked to find that the prices we were charged were 20c extra per coffee when compared to the advertised prices on the board. When I queried this I was told "medium" roast was 20c extra. Two things about this though. Firstly, nowhere does it says this in the shop and I was not told at point of purchase. Secondly and worst of all was the attitude of the staff member (Martina- "Supervisor") when I asked about it. She was quite dismissive and made no eye contact with me at all- in fact she seemed to be embarrassed that I had called her out on something that she probably does on a regular basis-I observed a number of people after me in the queue being asked the same question- none of them were told of the price difference even after I had complained! This may seem a small thing but with prices shooting away (its already €3.10 for an americano without the sneaky "roast surcharge") I fear that this may drive people away and more towards looking after their own coffee needs at home- we will for sure. This is a poor show and possibly against the law also- as prices must be shown and advised to customers before they purchase. All in all though its the little things that often let places down isn't it? They should be more mindful of this during the current cost of living crisis and who knows a potential downturn- very short term thinking."
"Excellent friendly well selected staff. Great place for coffee on the go."
