Reviews of Avoca Café at Powerscourt
"Lovely café with nice food and terrace to enjoy the view. They offer good selection of food items, from sandwiches and wraps with soup and salads, to baked salmon that we tried and it was all very tasty. I would definitely recommend to stop by after the stroll around the gardens. P.s.: they offer wide selection of desserts and everything looked amazing."
"I visited Avoca at Powerscourt gardens with family and friends. I am not a fan of Avoca in general, they have high prices without justification. We decided to have this place another chance after our previous visit straight after lockdown was over. The lasagne were among the smaller and most expensive I have ever seen in my life, a 5 by 5 cm of lasagne for 16 euro. I don’t care about the salads, a portion of lasagne so small is unbelievable. The quiche was ok-ish, nothing worth to mention and at least a decent size portion. Ham and cheese sandwiches were fine, hard to fail on this classic! Overall, I do not recommend this place due to the unjustified high prices and small size of portions."
"Invited here for lunch. Lots of salads to pick from. 2 soups both very tasty. Sandwiches and wraps with good fillings. Nearing every body enjoyed their lunch. Good portions. Except for the skimpy slice of bread. The table cleanup was very slow leaving hardly anywhere to sit even though it was not very busy. Couches are ripped and unsightly taking away from the feel of the place. More like an unkempt chipper."
"Really nice food, high quality and the portions are correct. Price wise, more on the expensive side but worth it for the quality. The view is great, it's really worth either for a lunch or just a coffee break."
"Traditional Irish food with very good view of the garden. Good afternoon tea place. Just the staffs are not very efficient and the waiting time is very long. No customer service generally speaking. As nobody take the plate of finished food. The desserts are not very sweet. It is not like the desserts in Ireland at all. Coffee is nice."
