"The play area is fine and clear kids have fun. I don't have an issue with the entry fee. The attitude of the staff however is awful. I have previously found them to be very standoffish and like they don't want to be there but today was the final straw with how rude they were being to customers. The lift was broken which was unfortunate and an inconvenience but the way they were talking to parents about it was just completely rude and unhelpful. It confirmed that I will never be going back. Editing my review in response to the owners response. I am not lying in my review and do not appreciate being made out to be, it is clear now that your staff have learnt their behaviour. You only have to read a few reviews to see that many people find the staff to be rude here."
"A bit shabby and unfortunately staff seem to be incredibly bored to be there, not a smile to be seen and just grumpy attitudes, I heard two of the girls criticising one of the parents and how she was parenting her children even describing what the mum was wearing so everyone that could overhear the conversation knew exactly who they were talking about. Food is of very poor standard for what you pay. No kids toilet seat in the toilet. A shame as such simple changes could make this place really lovely just needs a bit of TLX and staff that actually want to work with children"
"Been coming to Happyscamps for the last two years with my daughter. She absolutely loves being able to play in a soft play that is big enough for her be independent, and small enough that I can still watch her from the Table, and enjoy some piece and quiet. Prices are competitive with other soft plays, but I love tucking into their panini‘s, not a coffee drinker but have been told by people who have come with me on a visit that’s it’s extremely nice. The kids lunch deals are such a good idea, and they always help cater for my daughter who isn’t a fan of butter on her sandwiches. Always find staff members tidying, and the little handheld hoover is such a good idea, especially as my daughter likes to feed them floor! We love visiting it’s becoming a weekly trip :)"
"Really gone downhill. Was expensive to get in anyway, but now you are forced to eat there as well. Not allowed any external food, which massively increases the price and prevents any child not eating all adult food, cant be in there for long as naps and meal times now prevent spending that time. Poor upkeep of the equipment, damaged dirty toys and carpets covered in stains. Can't believe staff wipe up at all given I had to wipe the high chair, of all things. Worst is the attitude of a more mature colleague who provided a toxic environment for the much younger staff and argues about food being brought in despite messages on the walls describing this as ok for the under 1s, which simply got ripped off the wall in front of us and no apology. Never go here."
