"In the run up to a wedding the diary can get very busy…but Ann Marie’s in Hitchin really bent over backwards to accommodate our request for an appointment; and even opened up on a Sunday so that we could all make a date to select our outfits together. We were made super welcome and our visit epitomised friendly, personalised service at its best. The lady looking after us listened brilliantly and quietly captured what we were all looking for individually in the process; selecting alternative outfits and accessories to suit and providing recommendations to help us complete other elements of our outfits. "If I could have given 0 I would. My mum and sister in law visited to look for a dress for my wedding prior to our appointment in London in a couple of weeks at a boutique shop. They looked at the discounted section as naturally why not pay less for a beautiful dress. The person who loosely assisted them was patronising and quite frankly rude when they queried some dresses having a hole in (same dress in a different size with no hole had the same price so they wanted to check) and it was commented that another one they looked at was £400… as if it would be out of price range. They left not purchasing anything and we will now wait to spend her £2000 budget in London where the service will be less judgmental and more warm. Such a shame as not only is this store local, I have 5 other guests in the area with similar budgets to dress."

"I visited Ann Marie's a few weeks ago in search for a dress for my son's wedding and I strongly recommend it. Anna was knowledgeable about every dress in the shop and I tried on quite a few. The experience was relaxed and nothing was too much trouble. I am having my dress altered a little an looking forward to trying it on again. I bought shoes, bag and fascinator at the same time. A great shopping experience."

"I visited for a dress for my sons wedding. A lovely helpful lady attended us. I was ready to pay my nearly 600 pounds but there was a slight issue with a seam. Shouldn't have taken much to sort and our lovely lady agreed. A further person became involved and what a different experience. She clearly was more bothered about who would pay and made us feel uncomfortable. I never did get a call back and i would not recommend this shop or go back. Clearly 600 is not enough to spend."
