Reviews of Booth Museum of Natural History
"Great visit and lovely specimens. Went on a Sunday and was quiet. Only down side was a rather surly (short hair/bearded) security guard who was tidying up after some children and made it quite clear and loud he wasn’t happy. It was rather awkward to hear a member of staff express his frustration at doing his job. Other than that a great afternoon and recommend it to all."
"Not as interesting as I had hoped. It seems to be mostly a family legacy of keeping someone's collection of stuffed birds with some bone collections at the far end (which was my fave area). Many displays are very high up and you can't see well (but with so many birds and limited space you can understand why). This place isn't for me. If you like bird species you might enjoy it. It's a shame there's not more variety. Sorry Booth museum."
"Fantastic hidden gem! Amazing taxidermy, free entry (suggested donation is £3) and loads for kids to do. Today we got to do screen printing, for free! Not too hard to find on road pay and display parking nearby that's not too expensive (for Brighton). Staff really friendly. Toilets clean."
"Such an interesting museum - small but plenty to see. Helpful staff - although I didn't have children with me I could see there was plenty to keep them interested. Great way to spend an hour or so"
"Very nice old-school museum with countless specimens and beautiful dioramas. Great for visiting anytime and with anybody - family, friends, or solo. It's by donation so please support."
