"I went in to Thorns, a shop I have used for many years, on 9thJanuary at 3.15pm, to buy some batteries. There was a young man behind the desk in the basement walking up and down with his hands in his pockets and not making eye contact. I asked him very politely a question to which I got a surly "yes". I put my purchase on the counter and he said "£3.60 ". I told him that I wanted to pay by contactless. He put the cost in the card machine but didn't move it towards me so I just stood there until he moved it. Thorns should not be ruining their reputation by employing people with very bad attitude."
