"I went for lunch with a friend at this centrally located restaurant. The service was excellent and knowledgeable. I had a spicy calzoni (just right) and mt friend a pizza. We both had a beer The food was very tasty and filling. Highly recommended"

"Usually I don’t write reviews but got to share my experience had a family Christmas dinner last night at the royal George. Now this was booked over a month ago by my sister in law. When we turned up no table was ready so we had to rearrange tables to accommodate our party. Then we had to wash the tables ourselves. And decorate them. What was worse then all this is every single bit of cutlery was dirty with dried on food. And the ceramic pots it stood in was actually black at the bottom. The food was ok but cold and the man slicing the meat was dropping bits on the work tops then picking it up and putting it onto our plates so the meat was falling into the next meat and so on. The gravy looked like it had sat there forever anyway to top it all guest have had upset tummies today. But no all negative one of the staff lady was helpful and did her best and we did had a good time just shame have to spend today in the loo. So my advice is best stick with places you know unless you prepared to have a loo day"

"Really lovely place, seriously good food. The only (and I mean only!) Downside was the gendered 'accessible' toilets in the same toilets as the non accessible ones. Unfortunately not only is the fact they are gendered not ideal (what if someone needs support and their support worker is not the same gender?) but they also aren't actually big enough, nor do they have enough turning space for even a small wheelchair like my husband's. The use of a door stop on the door before the main toilet door also made getting Into the toilet hard. I supported him and I had to very awkwardly stand tight in the corner of the cubicle, the chair took up most of the small space, and the emergency pull cord nearly got activated multiple times as it kept getting caught up on the chair itself! Not ideal. Could do with a rethink, or a seperated toilet to be fitted somewhere. That aside, as I said the food was amazing!"
