Reviews of The Mesmerist
"We had our Christmas party here the other night. We hired a room which had its own bar and it was fantastic. The bar staff were really brilliant, quick with orders and very polite. The food was lovely too, definitely want to check out their normal menu if the buffet was anything to go by."
"Had a really nice meal here. We’ve eaten here a few times but the new Caribbean-themed menu was really fun. We had excellent vegan food and really good attentive service from our server, Katie."
"Plain rice costs £4.50 which I think should be illegal. Complete ripoff for the quality and quantity of food. My salad was dry and the bread was stale. Plenty of better options in Brighton at a better price."
"The food was really good, nice and close taste to the Caribbean cuisine. Unfortunately rice and peas wasn’t available but the festivals made up for it. I'm of the 'impression' that the cashier might have been possibly racist or dhe was having a bad day (but don't pass off that energy to customers); I asked questions about the menu, she was completely unfamiliar with the menu, tastes of the food etc. I also requested that if I could purchase my drink and food together but if I can have the drink when the meal comes, she said I’d have to return and cash the drink over when the food comes; in my opinion that made absolutely no sense. What backward policy is that? The food was the redeemer. Closest taste to authentic Caribbean cuisine so far."
