Reviews of The Ship Hotel
"We were down on a day trip from London to enjoy the sunshine. Really friendly bar staff and locals - who bought me two packs of crisps just so I didn’t have to queue at the bar again. Pints are really cheap! Rare to find a pint for around £3, especially in the South of England! Lots of TV screens - we went in to watch the Golf on sky sports - and a pool table. Really nice place to watch sport and drink cheap pints if you’re in the area."
"Was almost attacked by a man outside the pub who was trying to attack his sister (I’m a small female), shouting and threatening and smashing glasses inside and out side he pub. He started threatening me and got within inches of my face and threatened to hit me, I pushed him out of my personal space and tried to go back in the pub where it was safe, the owner (I think his name was Kenny) was angry with me and my girlfriend and tried to throw us out of the pub while the man was still shouting and trying to get at me? Whilst kicking the sign outside the pub and threatening. Very disappointed at the owner who should have made sure we were safe before making us leave in the threatening situation, the man was trying to attack me and he didn’t care or show any regard for my safety. The female staff were very helpful and wanted us to stay, thank you to the lovely ladies who could see we did nothing wrong xx"
"Disappointing & slow service even though it was empty! Fabulous view shame it took so long to get a drink to enjoy it"
"Straightforward Pub, two bars, one set up to watch sport. Long hours, best prices in area. Friendly staff, free WiFi. Just refurbished, doesn't do food but you are welcome to bring your own."
"Saloon bar feels really empty. No atmosphere. Really cold. Always used to be a cozy place but unfortunately no longer. Maybe it's trying to be a modern pub, but it's lost so much by doing this."
