Reviews
"Most if the other reviews are spot on but no one has mentioned that you can no longer go into the cafe without paying the entrance fee for the gardens and so will be an expensive lunch if you aren't interested in going to visit the gardens too."
"Good coffee, tea, baked potatoes and even cans of Austrian wine!"
"Beautiful place and lovely atmosphere."
"Very poor for a National Trust cafe. Four of us all had jacket potatoes. Hardly any baked beans on two of them and bit of cheese there was had melted altogether. The salad garnish was a few iceberg lettuce leaves and a small pot of tasteless coleslaw. The potatoes themselves were quite black in places, overall a poor experience."
"Very small and not much choice on the menu, mainly jacket potato or soup for mains. Fine for a cuppa and cake, not so much for lunch. It was cold in there as well (visited in winter)."
