Reviews of The Burger Kitchen
"50% of the store closed off and not available for seating. VERY VERY expensive, massively over priced like all other outlets on the park. Expect to pay £5.80 for a basic Cheeseburger and a minimum of £10+ for a meal. Limited choice, slow service, bad layout, not disabled friendly and certainly not oven consideration to additional needs. Captive audience I'm afraid unless your daft enough to pay £17+ for the limited choice pizza. Alton Towers needs to up their game or handover the park to a responsible operator."
"I was really surprised when I visited here. Wasn't expecting much but the food was pretty good. Chips were hot and crunchy and the vegan burger was tasty. Service was slightly slow but not too bad. There's plenty of seating on each side of the restaurant as well as out side."
"The food was stone cold and when we took it back an pointed out that even the thin slice of burger cheese hadn't started melting the response from staff was that the cheese wasn't supposed to be melted. This was when the park was busy so maybe save this place for when the park is quieter and hopefully the experience here will be better."
"You would expect somewhere that serves 'fast food' to be prompt with service level. Think again, it's atrociously slow. I've had quicker service at restaurants that cook food from scratch. The surfaces were dirty & sticky. In the 35 minutes it took for my order to be ready, I didn't see one member of staff take the time to sanitise the surfaces, floors or any other area in the eatery. The toilets were just as horrendous, smelly, unsanitary and clearly unchecked on a regular basis. The food was absolutely disgusting, given the price they charge you'd expect far better. Cold doughy bread, a minimalist piece of chicken and it seems they use micro lettuce - I've seen more lettuce on the plate of a salad dodger. Alton Towers has clearly dropped its standards, but not it's prices."
"We used this for lunch on a recent visit to the park as you get 20% off as a Merlin pass holder. 73 It used to be a burger king but I guess they lost the licence, they have basically kept the same menu though. We had a chicken burger meal, bacon cheeseburger meal and some onion rings, the sides were all hot and fresh, though my burger was extremely dry, it had been left in the holding unit too long. A little bit of focus and would have been a perfect meal. The place is pretty grimey too, needs a good sweep and mop, I'd guess it's not been done since the burger king days."
