"While not providing an abundant range of Japanese cuisine, Momiji nonetheless offered an excellent night out, and good value for money. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and service was prompt and professional. Prior to booking, they had explained that things might be a little slow due to the presence of some larger parties, but neither myself nor my dinner companions were left waiting. The menu itself is more limited than you might be used to. The lack of sushi, ramen, okonomiyaki, yakitori etc. could leave some people disappointed, but the taste and quality of the dishes served was superb. In short, if you read the menu ahead of time, and like what you see, you won't be disappointed with your meal. In particular, the tempura was delicious, and the teriyaki was miles ahead of anything you'll find in a jar at home. Just don't expect to find all the classics present. For an area of the country not known for its Japanese food, Momiji does a great job of offering a warm atmosphere, approachable dishes and good value for money. You'll find very little to dislike here, so it's an easy one to recommend."
