Reviews of National Trust Lisnabreeny Cregagh Glen
"It's a hidden gem. I absolutely love this place. On the day after a heavy snowfall it looked like we walked into Narnia."
"A beautiful Glen but a reasonably good level of fitness is required because of the steep climbs and steps in parts. Good footwear is also recommended because the path and steps are rough, uneven and muddy in places, even in summer. There is no official parking at the bottom of the Glen and great care is needed when crossing the wide Ring Road if you park in the residential areas in Cregagh. There was little litter or dog fouling. If you take children please keep them very close to you because there are some very big drops. This is not at all suitable for people with mobility issues. Overall I recommend this as somewhere to visit if you are in the area and physically capable of undertaking the walk."
"Beautiful scenic walk, our dog loves it just as much as we do. Shame about some people's problem with littering. We witnessed one woman toss her coffee cup into the stream whilst ironically taking a photo of a different area. If you can't hold onto your single use coffee cup (or whatever else) until you leave, maybe don't bring it or bring a bag?"
"A good walk from Cregagh Glen to the rath at Lisnabreeny. The American war memorial is worth a view. Great views from there across Belfast to Black mountain and Davis. Good footwear required as the path is a little rough in places. The national trust car park at Lisnabreeny is very small. I parked on the Cregagh road."
