Reviews of Lopwell Dam
"Beautiful on a sunny day. Kingfishers bringing their own illumination. Great pity that the cafe is no longer open. Someone should set up a mobile cafe down there."
"Beautiful place to visit, see the weir and walk across on the narrow stone walkway and up a path besides the woods and estuary. But the great cafe that was here is Permanently closed as the sign says. I hope it opens again. Car park still open. The still water here makes it a good place to canoe, several people were using inflatabe canoes and having a good time."
"Great place for a swim, not after rainfall though. It’s tidal so do look at tide times before setting off. Tucked out the way, really good and calm water for paddle boarding :)"
"A beautiful location full of birds. It's tidal and you can walk across to the other side when it's low. It's grown in popularity recently, so the car park normally has at least a few other people in. There's a cafe here but I've never seen it open and there is currently no public toilets there."
