"I had CBT sessions based around PTSD (PTSR – Daryl taught me that it is not a disorder and in fact a normal reaction to trauma), self-compassion/self-esteem, and other embedded thoughts and feelings which were left over after experiencing trauma. My experience in therapy was beautiful, rewarding, soul-nourishing, emotional, and freeing. I went into it thinking that what I wanted was to develop a toolkit for dealing with difficult memories. What I learned was I needed to go a step deeper, in essence to figure out why I thought I needed a toolkit for such times. I could not have imagined or wished for a better experience. Daryl took so much care to understand me in my entirety - my past, present, and future. We did all of this amazing work together and I know he wouldn't want to take credit, but he empowered me to live an authentic and positive daily life where I can bring energy to speaking up about how I feel, not shying away from my deep-rooted emotions, and not being afraid to advocate for my needs. Appreciating life for its ups and downs healthily was something I learned through reliving sessions, learning grounding techniques/coping mechanisms for vicious cycles of self-blame, and the NICE guidelines for PTSD treatment. Daryl made me feel at ease from the first second right to the end and our sessions together helped me to not feel responsible for holding difficult emotions inside me to bubble up to breaking points and further trauma. His knowledge is colossal; from specifics about links between neuro- and physical health to holistic grounding techniques, Daryl tailors his professional knowledge to accessible, caring language, which helps understanding from both a scientific and an emotional perspective. Previous experiences in other therapy left me feeling lacking, but with Maslow Therapies I felt (and still feel) full, safe, in touch with my mental health, and both in control of and at ease with my reactions to life experiences. My life has improved significantly since completing my therapy sessions with Daryl - I am happier, calmer, and infinitely more able to manage difficult situations and memories in a healthy way. I have been genuinely moved by how previous triggers no longer have any effect on me and the ways in which I have dealt with similar scenarios that before therapy with Daryl, I would have had a strong and distressing reaction to. I cannot thank Daryl and Maslow Therapies enough for the wonderful work they are doing. If I am ever again in need of talking therapy, I know exactly where to come."

"The treatment I received was life changing right from the off. Daryl helped me turn my life around and equipped me with a number of tools to help me overcome my demons, along with this his aftercare is phenomenal. I’ve been to others and the treatment starts and stops at the door which is fair enough but with Daryl I don’t feel like a number but an individual that has constant support. Would highly recommend."

"The support and treatment I received at Maslow Therapies, and in particular by my therapist, was fantastic and helped equip me with the tools to manage my anxiety. It’s not that I don’t get anxious anymore, but I’m able to cope with it a lot better. Thank you so much."
