"I first went into this cash converter 7 years ago, when I lost my job. I found the staff to be polite, empathetic and very very friendly unlike some other stores that seek to take advantage of people down on their luck. In fact, they went out of their way to actually give me more money than I was expecting and also held onto my goods even though I was late to redeem my items. In the years since I have got to know the staff particularly well and due to the fact that they take an active interest in their costumers and always find time to stop and have a chat, they have got to know all my children and have gone as far as to give them gifts on weeks when they know I have been having a bad time. The reputation and respect they hold within this area is second to none as shown by all the other great reviews I have read before leaving mine, having read the only bad review I could find I feel it necessary to point out that I am one of few Afro-Caribbean men living in the town centre I wish that everywhere in Hemel was as welcoming as cash converters Hemel Hempstead. How many shops have you been into, mentioned that you've seen an album that your dad used to play when you where a young boy and the manager buys it for you as a present? Any visitor who has had any interaction from any staff member in the store will testify to the friendly attitude from the manager downwards."

"I would like to make all aware of the amazing service I have ALWAYS received from cash converters in hemel Hempstead. I have been a customer for quite afew years and have used every aspect of the shop. From buying, selling, borrowing and just general advice. Which suprised even me as after my preciouse experience of another branch of the store i left upset and frustrated and feeling very judged. But i gave this branch the benefit of the dought and all of the above has ALWAYS been delivered in a professional, polite and beyond helpfull manner.Which is why i was disgusted when I went on to the website to find some info on the store and saw a very angry review from DAT GUY. Having had nothing but the best service any time I have been in for the last 4. From any of the staff who have helped me with whatever. I do not feel this review is warranted in any way, shape or form. I have been in on so may occasions and the shop has been full of people from all walks of life and each and every person is treated with propper thought from all the staff. Hence this review makes me cross. I do understand everyone is entitled to their opinion and this is all I ask of you all. Please do go in and make your mind up for yourselves as this is one of the few shops left in hemel that welcomes certain people other shop DO NOT entertain. So this should tell all you lovely people out there that the wonderfull team are accepting of all. All I ask is make your mind up for yourself as I don't think people who post reviews like this consider the repercussions on the hard working team. Not only does it create bad moral but it's a very unpleasant knock to all who work very hard to keep this store going, particularly in this economic climate . I understand we all have bad days but please think before ranting like this. It's not fair. I've suffered bad reviews myself at work that have been unwarrented and even thought you know they are it still gives a kick. This is not a review it's a word I don't even want to write. So please think and others please make your own mind up and go and meet the fantastic, knowledgeable team who ALWAYS go out of their way to be above and beyond with their customer service. If had a pound for every time I had recommended the store and the team I could buy hemel cash converters. That's how good they are."

"For years I've went into this shop as a customer as seller and as a jobseeker. My experience has not been good in this cash converters. If you are not white I'd say refrain from that shop. I'm only talking about the Hemel Hempstead one. The Watford one is brilliant the customer service there is helpful where as in Hemel it's dismissive . I think a mystery shopper of an ethnic minority for this shop would be great. My first cash converter experience was in Bedford and it was brilliant and bought my electric guitar. Hemel Hempstead has a problem which cash converters reflects. I recommend cex which is 2 doors away"

"Unfortunately I have been in need of some financial assistance on and off for the last year. I have used the services of cash converters in Hemel Hempstead on many occasions now. I have sold stuff in a hurry in order to pay bills and feel that they gave me a fair price, I have also had stuff on their buy back scheme which has helped me borrow money and not lose important items such as my Galaxy S5. If you need some help and have something you can afford to be without for a month then this is the place to go. The shop staff are friendly and always willing to help.
