Reviews of Heathfield Primary and Nursery School - Kersall Drive Campus
"I currently go to this school as a year 6, my experience so far is AMAZING! The staff are amazing, the teachers are nice and the headteacher is extremely kind. Parents reading this, you should send your children to this school."
"My son is autistic has been through an ordeal at that school for 8 months I was walking up and down kersall drive because they didn't have any funding to have him for dinner because he doesn't feel himself also he had some sort of traumatic time at that school and he refused to go back and for three weeks I was left and told just get into school when you can I ended up getting in touch with the SEN team and after that they decided that they were going to come and collect him still didn't want to go to school and ended or where I've now pulled it out of that school no help from that school senco is absolutely diabolical has no empathy cried at a meeting still no empathy and now I'm now waiting to get him into a special needs school"
"It's actually ZERO STARS!!!!! Pressed one star so I could leave an review. Visited the school in March 2019 for possibility of my child going there in September. Due to my child's needs I spoke to the SENCO officer and ask various questions regarding support and to my horror the attitude I got from her and her replies were more like we ain't bothered to give any!!! She said we would struggle to give any and didn't offer any form of support whatsoever and was so negative with her answers it was as if she was trying to deter me from sending my child there which worked as I didn't list this school at all on the form. I was so upset from her attitude towards children with additional needs I actually left the school visit in tears and immediately reported the school and of this incident to school admissions department and to my horror they said this is not the first complaint of this kind they have received about the school and have even visited the school to reprimand them. Please please please consider other schools before this one due to information I received from school admissions and from the negative experience I received, not a supporting and caring school for your child!!!!"
"Worst school ever! The staff are useless and it's full of chavs I'd avoid"
"If you have morals and respect for yourself they will not like you, they want you to be like the locals Dirty attitudes from the reception staff, headteacher, parents and most of the children. My 4 year old's packed lunch has come home full on multiple days of the week including his drink. So he was left without food and drink during a full school day, there was a period when he was coming out of school very upset almost everyday. My older child would sit in the playground by himself not playing with anybody because nobody knows how to play nice games only mean ones. Also the few times I sent him in with a pack lunch staff did not help him remove the cling film so he has been unable to eat lunch on those days as well. I remember sending him to school with brand new Clark shoes, the headteacher approaches us and say he can wear trainer?? What head teacher says that?? I interpreted that as my son was looking better than her favorites and she didn't like it coz were ment to look poor and shout after our kids like the locals lol. This school is in an area of high social deprivation and it's very noticeable!! The parents are the type of people who are desperate to comment on anything, maybe it's just so they can be seen and heard?? The head teacher is very discriminative stands at the front gate picking and choosing who to say hello to, I wish her the best of luck lol I did not realise I was expected to beg and suck up to rude educators, there's a lot better elsewhere. So I temporarily homeschool until a better school is found. Since doing this my children have become closer, happier and my youngest is putting on weight now. My children's mental, emotional, social and physical state always a first priority. Good point- Aesthetically pleasing"
