Welcome to Field House Infant and Nursery School, a warm and nurturing learning environment where our youngest pupils can thrive and grow. Our school is situated in the heart of Ilkeston, amidst the charming, leafy suburbs of Lower Whitworth Road.

As an established primary school, our goal is to provide an exceptional education to all of our students. From the moment you step through our doors, you’ll discover a team of dedicated and experienced teachers who are passionate about delivering a well-rounded and engaging curriculum.

Our school comprises of two divisions: the Infant School and Nursery building which houses our youngest children aged three to seven, and the main school building which caters for children from seven to eleven years. Each area is designed to provide a welcoming, safe, and stimulating environment for learning and play.

Our curriculum is centred around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which is tailored to meet the specific needs and interests of our students. We believe in a holistic approach to learning which focuses on nurturing the whole child, and we encourage our pupils to develop a love for learning that will sustain them into their future years.

We boast state-of-the-art facilities for our students, including outdoor spaces and an excellent range of extracurricular activities. We understand that children learn best when they are happy and engaged, which is why we provide a range of clubs and societies where they can explore their interests and make new friends.
