Reviews
"Lovely theatre - and yes, the seats are quite small, but then most theatres are. Although there’s not much wriggle room, I wasn’t uncomfortable, and it in no way hampered my enjoyment of the play. The bar downstairs in the stalls is tiny, so I’m glad I only arrived 10 minutes before the play started - as by the time I got there the bar was virtually empty, and I had no problems picking up my drink and program. I really enjoyed the play (Mad House) and the theatre. I’d definitely come back to see another production."
"Saw Mad House with Bill Pullman and David Harbour. Both gave fantastic performances. Bill was at time hard to hear, but his character was an old man so a lot of mumbling but it didnt distract you from following the narrative. This is a small theatre with hardly any room between seats and rows. It does feel like the persons knees from behind are touching your head. At 5'8 I was comfortable. I would suggest a seat in the circle would honestly say there is not a bad seat, it's not too high or wide to see or hear and the seats are on a decent level that heads don't get in the way"
"Lovely intimate theatre with a fabulous view no matter where you are sitting. Could see and hear everything clearly. Watched a brilliant play Called Mad House there early July starring Bill Pullman and David Harbour. Loved that we could see two huge Hollywood movie stars in such close proximity. Highly recommend this theatre"
"A very intimate theatre. Front of house area & bars are very small and while the show I saw didn’t have an interval could imagine it being very cramped for other shows. The auditorium is one of the smallest in the West End with only 444 seats, meaning an excellent view from pretty much everywhere. The seats, while well padded and comfortable, are slightly too low down though and the legroom isn’t the best. The show was absolutely fantastic."
"What is this? A centre for Ants! The seats are very small and not big enough for my post lockdown rump. It felt like someone was sitting on my shoulders throughout the entire play. The circle bar was what some might call cosy, I would call it small. I enjoyed the production of 'The shark is broken' but would only recommend this theatre to hobbits, kids and obviously, Ants!"
