"The South Devon Players are a fantastic group of people. They are so much more than an am dram group. They are a mixture of people who come together to bring fabulous, professional theater and film productions to us, the public. They welcome all abilities, spend time helping and teaching those who want to be a part of their productions, but have not yet been able to progress in an acting role. Everyone is an equal. Parts are assigned following an audition. They have won awards both in the UK and the USA. I highly recommend you watch their productions. It's theater at its best."

For a small company, they pack a huge punch, both in the quality of their acting and the ambitious settings of their shows. This year I have seen a terrific Macbeth by them (which won an award in June at the prestigious Long Island Community Theatre Awards in New York State) and also a really first rate adaptation of Hugo's Les Miserables.
