Thurlestone Hotel

"I was treated to a spa afternoon recently and had a lovely time. Service was impeccable and nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and the hotel beautiful. The only let down was some items in the spa were not working."

"The Thurleston is the best hotel. The hotel itself is lovely, the staff are all excellent, the location is amazing, the food is superb!! If you want to be active, there is plenty to do, if not, it's a lovely place to be lazy and pampered. Love it. Took both the photos from our room."

"We stayed at this hotel last year for a work Christmas party and had been so impressed with the room, food and service that organised to spend an extra night there this year. We were told that our room was a sea view suite. It was more like a family corner room with a partial sea view (which could been seen if you laid at a particular angle on the bed). This room should not be marketed as a sea view suite. Although the room was tidy it was tired and unclean - bins hadn’t been emptied, there was a layer of dust on every surface. When we asked the assistant manager if we could move she said we could the next day. However, when we asked again the next day she stated that she couldn’t move us and was very abrupt and uncompromising in her approach. We went out for the day and when we returned at 2.00pm our room hadn’t been cleaned. When we asked for it to be cleaned which it was but very poorly with no toiletries/coffee/tea replenished, dirty glasses/cups left, no surfaces wiped, the breakfast tray wasn’t even removed. The food at the function in the evening was ok, the breakfast was the same. It’s a shame that the stay that we had this year was so different to the welcoming stay we had last year. The rest of the the staff were friendly and warm, it was a shame that the manager who we dealt with wasn’t the same."

"We came to use a voucher I'd got £45 each for a spa day but this is not a spa day it's just use of facilities way to much money for just use of pools which are not adults only spa days do not include kids jacuzzi is not hot and doesn't work properly with extremely loud gurgling noises which a few years ago when I went for a friends birthday was an issue and still hasn't been sorted again not relaxing!!! Won't go again and only went as we had a voucher we had a hot chocolate on the terrace which was nice but that's it"

"After many years of visiting this wonderful hotel it never disappoints, the food was excellent along with the very friendly staff who made it all seem so effortless, with Jacob a real star in the rock pool where he worked so hard all day keeping a very polite and friendly manner in the blistering sun, he deserves a gold star. The rooms were to their usual standard with the view as mesmerising as ever. In my view the best hotel in the best location which is well worth a visit."
